Israeli politician accuses Israel of ”fascism” & ”war crimes” in Gaza

In this episode of The Source, our chief editor Zain Raza talks to Israeli politician and member of the Israeli parliament Dr. Ofer Cassif about the issues surrounding Israel’s war on Gaza. Zain begins the interview by inquiring why Dr. Ofer Cassif was recently suspended from the Israeli parliament for advocating for a ceasefire and criticizing Israel’s assault on Gaza, which has killed over 15,000 Palestinian civilians to date. They then examine the Israeli government’s security failure on October 7 and how the government ignored the warnings it received prior to Hamas attacks. They contextualize the conflict by examining how and why Israel strengthened Hamas under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They talk about Israel’s current plans in Gaza and the West Bank and much more. Dr. Ofer Cassif is a lecturer in philosophy and politics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
